Citing a need for Nebraska to move proactively into renewable energy beyond ethanol, State Sen. Annette Dubas of Fullerton is introducing what she calls a comprehensive energy legislative package.
"There is no reason that Nebraska should not be a leader on this," Dubas said. "I don't think we should be waiting around 'til the last minute to see what everybody else is doing."
Dubas said Sunday she plans to introduce three energy bills today that will address needs she has heard expressed among major players in Nebraska's energy industry.
